Google doesn’t show search results for + or -?
There’s a reason for this. These symbols don’t work as search terms because they can actually be used to modify your searches.
If you put a + before a search term, you are making sure all of your search results have that word. If you put a – before a search
term you make sure that results with that word will not appear.
Also, both the +, -, and = signs are used when you use Google to solve math problems. Google can serve as a calculator.
There was a large list of absentees for Wednesday night football but that didn’t dampen spirits as we saw a return of the warm weather at the Goals arena, Portsmouth.
Three Snakes regulars Chris Phillips, Nick Baker and Dan Richards were missing, blinded by the lights of London town they had opted to sit out this week’s duel.
The game saw a return of the ‘no nonsense’ attacker Gareth Eyre to add to a strong Snakes line up that also featured Shane Caruthers and Nick Jackson.
The Game got underway and saw the Ravens surge into a 2-1 lead with a goal from Carl Topliss and a curling effort from Ben Rolison. The Snakes were on the back foot for the majority of the opening exchanges conceding another two goals from Sam Croucher and thunderbolt from 20 yards from Ian Leighfield. It was that strike that seemed to kick the Snakes into life as a sustained period of pressure saw them work the Ravens goal keeper on a number of occasions before pulling a goal back with a wonderful solo effort from Eme Hanky. A well taken Maxwell Clements goal ended the first half with the Ravens Leading 5-2 and the snakes left with plenty of thinking to do.
As the first half restarted and the Sakes still licking their wounds the Ravens caught them knapping and added a 6th, with Rolison finishing off a fine 3 man move including Bravo and Topliss.
This sparked the snakes into life and saw them really take the bull by the horns, the pressure mounted on the Ravens back two which had seen the impressive Krzysztof Zaborowski stand firm all night. Gareth Eyre, Michael Quinn and Nick Jackson all netting with the lively Mark Kennard involved in all three goals. The Ravens reacted with a route one effort from Sam Croucher sneaking in off the post followed by another for Croucher, put on plate from a clean through Maxwell Clements.
Time however was nearly up and further goals from Michael Bravo, Carl Topliss extended the Ravens lead and not long before the final whistle Rolison completed his hatrick with a long range effort with his weaker left foot to seal a memorable win in what really was a Barcelona-esc performance from the Ravens, the one touch football at times was mesmerising, bamboozling an extremely strong Snake team with the experienced Brooke Bryan heart of the defence. At the centre of everything was a back to full fitness Carl Topliss claiming the Man of the Match award to which he later quoted “ I have to give this award to the whole team tonight, this win was not about individuals it was about us collectively taking control of the game and making things happen. We really clicked tonight, some of the one touch passing was out of this world and it was a pleasure to play with those guys, tonight this award goes to the Ravens”.
Final Score:
Ravens 12 Snakes 7
I, like many other JDI employees have been a proud Playstation console owner since the initial release back in 94, never going against my Sony religion and joining the Microsoft generation like so many have done. Since the recent outcry of PSN member’s poor accessibility over the last few months I’ve had my doubts, but stayed strong!
NOW the hackers are targeting other Sony sites as well as the network, wave after wave of SQL injected attacks plague the web, increasing attacks seem to be consistent with proving the flaws of the network. Worryingly, If hackers have the malicious intent of targeting Sony I doubt they will stop until serious damage is done.
Here’s a post regarding the latest hacked Sony site BMG Greece. “An anonymous poster has uploaded a user database to pastebin.com, including the usernames, real names and email addresses of users registered on SonyMusic.gr.” – The data posted appears to be incomplete as it claims to include passwords, telephone numbers and other data that is either missing or bogus.
This, has prompted me to take initiative and get out whilst I can. Microsoft you have won my vote… please take my money. Sony has been compromised. Thankfully, unlike other exit chat providers, intellichat has never been compromised!
Late yesterday evening, two great sporting teams graced the hallowed rubber crumb of Goals, Eastern Road. The long standing rivalry between the Ravens and the Snakes was again to be on display as the two, talent packed sides were to clash heads once again. Many of my fellow writers will report on the skill, flare and determination of the players on show last night. However this report document some of the heroics and some of the worst goalkeeping performances ever witnessed in a sporting arena. Consistent calamities from Michael Bravo and Samuel Spratt left the MyPC backup sponsored Ravens, struggling and falling behind their stronger counterparts. As always with JDI Soccer there was no shortage of controversy, late tackles and cynical challenges marred what otherwise would have been a memorable sporting occasion. To add to the controversy was the absence of key first team players Kris ‘The Bull’ Zaborowski and Mark ‘The Runner’ Kennard. The former was sorely missed at the heart of the Ravens defence. The other notable absentee was Chris ‘The Hanger’ Phillips, although heavily rated by himself to be of messi-esque quality, neither team viewed his absence as a real loss, but it certainly gave the defenders one less problem to worry about. Nevertheless it is far too British to dwell on the negatives, solid attacking performances from Carlos Topliss, Nick Jackson, Shane Carruthers and Eme Hanky caused terrible trouble for the Ravens defence. The attacking excellence of the Snakes was reinforced by organised defensive performances by Fraser Cameron, Michael Quinn and surprisingly Maxwell Clements, who came into this game unrated and heavily disliked by all. The sporting world will wait with bated breath until next week’s encounter when the two great sides will meet again and the player leaderboard will take further shape.
Final Result
Ravens 8 – 11 Snakes

Online shopping cart abandonment statistics are very high, a staggering 88 percent of visitors will abandon your site at the payment page. Probably due to the increased trend for comparison shopping. (Forrester Research)
Further research specifies the top reasons why people abandon shopping carts as being:
High shipping costs (44%)
Not being ready to finalize a purchase (41%)
Price comparisons (27%)
Poor payment integration systems (24%)
Other reasons include the lack of good incentives or discount offers.
And more worryingly that: A quarter (27%) of consumers who abandon a transaction go straight to a competitor website to spend the money.
However if you are an online merchant, it’s still not too late to think about improving your customer conversions by addressing online abandonment rates and so get to maximize your revenues in the pre-Christmas rush.
To find out how intellichat can help in the fight against shopping cart abandonments, call us today for a fully customized solution.
Each person has a different way of selling a product, some people like to be pushy and others like to be passive. For a while now we have been customizing our client’s representatives to suit their tastes in sales operators.
When converting browsers to buyers, a compelling call to action certainly helps improve sales conversion. Countdown timers are an effective call to action for most sales pages.
We have been split testing the effectiveness of embedding countdown timers in our chat windows and have been monitoring their specific conversion rates.
Once the agent has been initiated, the potential customer has a predefined time limit in order to take advantage of the discount offered. We have been split testing different styles of timers and have found that, for an aggressive agent, dropping the agents picture and replacing it with a big timer, has proven to convert the best.

The results were eye opening and saw a clear winner in the conversion stakes!
The video agents converted 34.6% better in an even split test proving the new chat skin is well worth implementing on your site today. Please contact one of our sales team to discuss integrating one of our video agents on your site.

Another new feature to hit intellichat is our post sale aftercare tool. The new intelligent software recognizes a user has already purchased a product on your site and launches a script which acts as a support component rather than a sales tool!
The post sale script will act as another line of support, filtering out a large percentage of post sale issues which will ease the strain on your email and phone support. The new tool has already been implemented by some of our clients who are seeing a significant fall in support tickets and even a decline in refunds.
